Deon von Benecke
Managing Director – BSc Forestry, eMBA
Deon has been with Arbor-Care since 1994. He has an Executive MBA from the University of Cape Town and a BSc in Forestry specialising in silviculture from the University of Stellenbosch. He also has qualifications in Pest and Weed Control, Basic Nursery Management, and Sugar Cane Agriculture. Skills include operations management, new business development, business strategy, strategic planning, sales management, project planning, strategy and budgets, change management and sustainable development.
Director – BSc Civil Engineering
Harold is the founder of Arbor-care, and so has been with the company since 1987. He is passionate about the environment and sustainability, a focus that is very pertinent to our work. His skills and interests include forestry and landscaping, civil engineering and agriculture, project management, renewable energy, construction management, surveying, operations management, sustainable development, project and strategic planning, business strategy, change management, new business development, and environmental management systems.
Professional Services Manager – BSc Forestry, MBA
Willem has been with the Arbor-care group since 2013. He is a university-trained forester with 22 years in the industry. Skills include management information systems development, business and forestry planning systems and geographic information systems development and maintenance.
Financial Manager, CA(SA), MBA (Cum Laude)
Peter joined Arbor-Care as the Financial Manager in 2017 having spent 12 years in the banking sector both in Africa and the UK. He is a qualified CA(SA) and more recently received his MBA with distinction from the Gordon Institute of Business Science. He is passionate about sustainable social development and has a diverse range of interests from property investment to human behavior, business model innovation and cross sector partnerships. The skills he has gained through previous roles include project management, business analysis, lean processing, financial reporting, valuations and enterprise risk management.
